Igrab the next shirt from the laundry basket, tucking the sleeves in and then folding the remaining fabric in half before setting it on top of the stack of already folded shirts. I can’t keep the smile off my face, even as I do such a mundane task as laundry.

It feels so natural like we've always held each other in this way. "What are you up to? I just got done with the project I was working on in the backyard."

“Just folding some laundry,” I reply as I melt into his chest. Cassian lets out a grunt, the sound vibrating through him and into me.

“I told you already, sweetheart,” he rasps. “You don’t have to earn your keep.”

"I know," I say softly, turning my head so I can brush a kiss on the side of his neck. "But what if I want to take care of you?"

A tortured groan leaves his lips as his hands slide down my body, feeling every inch of my torso and hips. I’d be self-conscious about my extra weight, but Cassian seems to like everything about me. My suspicions are confirmed when he rubs his thick, hard length against my ass, making me moan.
